A model of consistency.
Cal Ripken Jr. played 2,632 consecutive games over 16 seasons, an unmatched record in baseball history. Nicknamed “The Iron Man,” he didn’t just show up, he excelled as a 19-time All-Star, two-time AL MVP, Rookie of the Year, and World Series Champion.
For this officially licensed National Baseball Hall of Fame collection, I illustrated Cal Ripken Jr. and designed each element of the shirt pattern, weaving in his career highlights, signature, and iconic number 8. The result was a tribute to his consistency and durability, captured in a design that fans can proudly wear to celebrate his legacy.

Pattern Design
From there, I built a seamless pattern that integrated stats, graphics, and personal touches like his signature. The design balanced storytelling and wearability, turning Ripken’s Hall of Fame journey into an expressive yet cohesive shirt design.
Final Product
The final shirt design carried those illustrations into production, rendered in a vibrant orange that stood out while staying true to the Orioles’ spirit. Every detail was crafted to celebrate Ripken’s career, from collar tags to placement of illustrations across the fabric.
In Context
Lifestyle photography completed the story, placing the shirt back on the baseball field where Ripken’s legend was made. The product came to life in a natural setting, bridging illustration, design, and fan culture.
