Iron Eagle Tribute Poster

A while back my good friend Salvador Anguiano and I decided to pay tribute to one of our favorite 1980’s movies IRON EAGLE!

The Iron Eagle sound track alone was worthy of a poster, but the action is what made the movie so cool. For me the poster had to include Col. Charles ‘Chappy’ Sinclair, Doug Masters, a pair of F-16’s and Col. Ted Masters as his parachute goes down in enemy territory.

The tribute went so well, I even got likes from Jason Gedrick, Doug Masters himself, on twitter.

I learned so much during this project thanks to Paul Ainsworth and Salvador Anguiano. Paul had a great suggestion on extending the depth of my title and adding deeper values to my faces. Salvador showed me an awesome app for the iphone (#VVFY) Volga Verdi. Volga Verdi  is a tool for creating neon 80’s inspired color palettes. Both the dudes are helping my evolution in the vector poster game!
